Meal in the Field: October 6th, 2026 – Rodney and Ben Rhodes

🌾 For this week’s Meal in the Field, we spent some time with Rodney and Ben of Rhodes Brothers Farms, along with their family!

Rodney and Ben were raised around farming, following in the footsteps of their dad, Jesse, and their papa, Louis Rhodes. While they’ve only been running their farm for the past 2-3 years, farming has been a part of their lives for as long as they can remember.

Today, the brothers grow corn and soybeans while both working full-time jobs. Once they get off work, they head to the fields and often work late into the night. They even use their vacation time during planting and harvest season to spend more time on the farm. We were very impressed by their level of commitment to their farm!

Their goal is to eventually farm full-time, and it’s clear they’re putting in the work to get there. We were grateful for the chance to share a meal with Rodney and Ben and recognize the hard work and passion they’re putting into building the next generation of Rhodes Brothers Farms. We wish them the best of luck in their farming journey!
