Meal in the Field: September 22nd, 2026 – Randy Crabtree

🌾 For this week’s Meal in the Field, we spent some time with Randy Crabtree and his family in Utica, KY.

Randy has dedicated many years to farming, putting hard work, integrity, and a genuine passion for the land into everything he does. He shows up every day, no matter what the weather or circumstances may bring, and takes pride in doing things the right way.

This year, Randy and his family are farming all beans, though their operation has included corn and cattle in years past. No matter what they’re raising, that same dedication to the land and the work behind it has remained a constant.

Something that stood out to us was how willing Randy is to help the people around him. Whether it’s lending a hand, sharing his knowledge, or simply being there when someone needs him, he’s built a reputation for looking out for others without expecting anything in return.

Randy doesn’t farm for recognition. He simply takes pride in his work and in being there for the people around him. We were grateful for the chance to share a meal with Randy and recognize the hard work, integrity, and heart he brings to both his farm and his community!
