Residents in Irvington were being asked to shelter in place starting this morning. The Breckinridge County Sheriff’s Office says a “dangerous situation” is underway, prompting Breckinridge County Schools and city government offices to be closed. A suspect, 45-year-old Lester Lamont Parks, was identified as the man taking a hammer to several vehicles and an ATM machine. All who are within Irvington city limits are asked to shelter in place until the all-clear is given, as Parks had not been located.
