I really can’t believe it’s already been a year of Country Roots.
When I started the Country Roots Morning Show, I really didn’t know what it would turn into. I just knew I loved classic country music, I loved radio, and I wanted to build a show that felt like home. A show where we could play the songs we grew up with, laugh a little, tell some stories and just have a good time together in the mornings.
A year later, I’m still amazed at how many of you have made Country Roots part of your morning.

So we decided we needed to celebrate, and that’s exactly what we’re doing with the Country Roots Anniversary Bash!
We’ve got an awesome afternoon of live music planned. James Elliott will kick things off from 12–1, Andy Brasher plays from 1–2, Drew Aud from 2–3, and Scott Lindsey will finish out the afternoon from 3–4.
We’ll also have food trucks and local vendors there throughout the day, so come hungry, bring the family and hang out with us.
I also want to give a huge thank you to American Legion Post 9, Legendary Pools & Spas, Glenn Family Services and VASS CDJR for sponsoring the Anniversary Bash and helping us put this day together. I really appreciate these folks stepping up and supporting something that means a lot to me.
More than anything, though, I just want to say thank you.
Thank you for listening to Country Roots. Thank you for calling or texting the show. Thank you for stopping me somewhere and telling me you listen. Thank you for sharing the show with somebody else. Every bit of it means a lot.
I get to wake up every morning, sit behind a microphone and play country music for a living. That’s pretty cool. But it wouldn’t mean nearly as much without the people on the other side of the radio.
So come hang out with us and help me celebrate one year of Country Roots. I think it’s going to be a pretty special day.
And who knows what year two is going to bring!
Born Country. Rooted in Tradition.
