Beginning Aug. 3, Owensboro Health Regional Hospital will require guests visiting the hospital after 8 p.m. to obtain an after-hours visitor badge from the Main Lobby Information Desk. The former badge-in time was 10 p.m. but will now start two hours earlier.
This update is part of ongoing efforts to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, guests and team members, officials say.
The visitor process itself is not changing. Guests who visit after 8 p.m. will continue to check in at the Main Lobby Information Desk and receive a badge that allows access between the first floor and the patient unit they are visiting.
The enhancement reflects Owensboro Health’s continued commitment to evaluating and strengthening safety measures throughout the hospital.
“Safety is our core value,” said Beth Steele, Owensboro Health Chief Operating Officer. “These enhancements are part of our ongoing efforts to provide the safest environment for those who work here, receive care here and visit loved ones here.”
