Owensboro, KY – A new locally produced radio program focused on veterans, service members, and the lives they build after the uniform comes off is launching January 3, 2026, on 101.3 KNews, a Cromwell Media radio station. Other Side of Service with Basham will deliver real conversations, real stories, and meaningful resources to the Tri-State community every week.
The show is hosted by Brian Basham, who is also heard weekday mornings on the Country Roots Morning Show. Building on his passion for community storytelling and veteran advocacy, Basham shifts the focus to what happens after military service. “We talk a lot about service while someone is in uniform,” said Basham.
“This show is about the other side. The transition home, the challenges, the victories, and how veterans continue to serve their families and communities in new ways.”
Each episode of Other Side of Service with Basham will feature: Conversations with local and regional veterans Voices from veteran service organizations and community partners Information on resources available in Owensboro and the surrounding region. Honest discussions about purpose, identity, and life beyond service
A new episode will air every Saturday from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m., reinforcing 101.3 KNews’ commitment to thoughtful, community-focused programming that informs and connects listeners.
“This is not scripted radio,” Basham added. “It is real people and real conversations. Whether you are a veteran, part of a military family, or someone who wants to better understand the full journey of service, this show is for you.”
