An official look at the upcoming Owensboro Hot Dog Week’s participants!

With July 4th right around the corner, it’s safe to say that plenty of people are looking forward to firing up the grill and enjoying some good old fashioned hot dogs.

And what better way to celebrate America’s 250th birthday (fun fact: the official term for a 250th anniversary is “semiquincentennial”) with Owensboro’s inaugural Hot Dog Week?

Hot Dog Week: A wiener bonanza and a way to support veterans

Not only is Hot Dog Week going to be full of delicious and creative hot dog entries from different local participants, but it’s also going to be a great way to support our local veterans; $1 from every hot dog purchased will be donated to local veteran organization Veterans Empowered Together (V.E.T.).

Participating in Hot Dog Week would be a great way to support local businesses and support the individuals who served our country!

Hot dogs of all shapes and sizes!

There will be three different categories for hot dog entries:
Gourmet Dog (hot dogs priced above $8)
All-American Dog (hot dogs priced below $8)
As American As… (dessert dogs!)

All three categories are sure to deliver plenty of unique flavor and fun throughout the whole week.

There are 24 participants for this year’s Owensboro Hot Dog Week; here’s a comprehensive list of each participant and which hot dog category they fall under:

Each hot dog will be available during Hot Dog Week, from June 27th to July 5th!

There will be a panel of judges to decide winners of Hot Dog Week, as well as some potential community voting!
