Kentucky State Police have arrested a 50-year-old Owensboro man following a lengthy investigation into alleged crimes involving a juvenile. Juan Luis Mendez Segovia was taken into custody on April 14 after detectives determined he was engaged in a sexual relationship with a minor. Authorities have charged Mendez Segovia with two counts of human trafficking related to sex activity, as well as one count of procuring or promoting the use of a minor by electronic means. He is currently being held at the Daviess County Detention Center. State police detectives confirm that the investigation remains active and ongoing.
