Hazardous conditions are causing significant travel disruptions across Western Kentucky this morning. Kentucky State Police Post 2 in Madisonville responded to around 40 calls, assisting motorists and working 30 collisions, including three with injuries. Most incidents occurred on the Western Kentucky Parkway and nearby highways, prompting authorities to reduce northbound traffic to one lane at the 83-mile marker in Caldwell County. In a separate incident, two semi-trucks are blocking KY-672. State Police are urging drivers to exercise extreme caution, as rain and rapidly dropping temperatures are making roads slick and icy. Non-essential travel is strongly discouraged.
