The Pink Mic Project is a community initiative dedicated to raising awareness, providing support, and bringing hope to those affected by cancer. Spearheaded by Cromwell Media’s own Erin Owen, a cancer survivor herself, the Pink Mic Project was created to turn her personal experience into an opportunity to help others in the community.

Each year, we bring the community together for a day centered around cancer awareness, connection, and support. The event features special radio programming, personal stories from cancer survivors and those impacted by the disease, local organizations and vendor booths, food trucks, and a silent auction, creating an opportunity for the community to come together while supporting an important cause!

The Pink Mic Project also helps connect patients and families with valuable local resources, including cancer education, support services, financial assistance, and other organizations dedicated to helping those navigating a cancer diagnosis.

While we do strive to make the event fun, at its heart, the Pink Mic Project is about reminding people affected by cancer that they are not alone. Through the power of local radio and the generosity of the Owensboro community, Cromwell Media is proud to bring people together to raise awareness, share stories, support local organizations, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those affected by cancer.
