Kentucky State Police (KSP) Post 2 is currently investigating a multi-vehicle collision that resulted in two fatalities on December 5, 2025. First responders were dispatched to the area of US- 431 near the 15-mile marker at approximately 11:17 a.m. CT.
A preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle driven by Billy Wilson, 78, of Dunmor, Kentucky, was traveling north on U.S. 431, while a semi-truck and trailer driven by Robert Hosmer, 36, of South Bend, Indiana, was traveling southbound. A third vehicle, driven by Morrine Cox, 68, of Greenville, Kentucky, reportedly failed to stop at the intersection of U.S. 431 and Cleaton Road. Ms. Cox’s vehicle entered the path of both the northbound and southbound vehicles, causing a collision.
Morrine Cox, 68, of Greenville, Kentucky, and passenger Virginia Grimes, 64, of Mansfield, Texas, were pronounced deceased at the scene by the Muhlenberg County Coroner.
Billy Wilson, 78, of Dunmor, Kentucky, and Robert Hosmer, 36, of South Bend, Indiana, received medical attention for their injuries.
