Kentucky State Police in Madisonville are investigating a severe child abuse case that came to light earlier this fall. Authorities say a 7-month-old infant from Greenville was being treated for multiple serious injuries, prompting Child Protective Services to alert police on September 6th. After an investigation, 23-year-old Tristan Bolton was identified as the suspect. He was arrested on September 24th in connection with the case and charged with first-degree criminal abuse. The Muhlenberg County Grand Jury has since indicted Bolton, formalizing the charge. He is currently being held at Muhlenberg County Detention Center as the case moves forward.
