(Owensboro, KY): Windy Hollow Speedway hosted “Rippin’ The Lip,” a $1500 to win special for UMP Open Wheel Modifieds on Sunday.
Many favorites from the national scene entered the event including Tyler Nicely and Charlie Mefford.
From the moment the green flag dropped, it was evident that the car to beat would be the 25 of Nicely. The Owensboro driver set fast time in hot laps and qualifying to take home a $100 bonus from EZ Auto Sales & Parts.
Nicely would go on to win the first heat race of the night, while Belton’s Mefford won the second heat race of the night.
In the 20-lap feature, Nicely led flag-to-flag taking home the $1,500 check from the track.
