Daviess County authorities have released the identity of the motorist killed in the September 4th US Highway 60 Bypass crash. Eighteen-year-old Charles A. Dosch of Maceo and passenger Brian P. Deaton of Shelbyville lost their lives when their Cadillac Deville crossed the median and collided with a GMC 1500 driven by Justin Phillips of Owensboro, who remains hospitalized with critical injuries. Investigators used dental records and fingerprints to confirm the victims’ identities, as the crash resulted in a fire. Officials met to address ongoing safety concerns on the bypass, and increased traffic enforcement is now underway.
