Authorities responded to a serious crash Thursday afternoon on Jack Hinton Road near Highway 764 in Daviess County. Just before 4 p.m., a Honda Civic veered off the roadway, flipping several times and ejecting the lone driver. Emergency crews from multiple departments arrived to find the car heavily damaged about 20 feet from the road. The driver, whose identity has not yet been released, was transported to Owensboro Health Regional Hospital where he later died from his injuries. The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation, with support from the Coroner’s Office and accident reconstruction specialists.
