(Owensboro, KY): Windy Hollow Speedway hosted Kelley Family Night presented by Kelley Trucking on Sunday, August 24th. The event drew a packed house with race fans taking advantage of $5 general admission.
The marquee event of the evening was the $1000 To Win Crate Late Model Race which drew 602/604 Late Model drivers from across the area.
The Crate Late Models took to the track early on Sunday evening for their qualifying laps. Princeton Kentucky’s Dustin Rollins set quick time with a lap of 15.286 seconds followed by Lee DeVasier, Kyle Forgy, Zach Dennis and Brody Crawford.
Rollins also took home the win in the first heat race of the evening. Evansville’s Justin Naylor took the checkers in the second heat race.
In the feature, Rollins dominated the 15-lap event leading from flag to flag to take home the win and $1000 pay day. It was Rollins’ third win of the weekend, after capturing a win at Paducah on Friday and Western Kentucky Speedway on Saturday.

Windy Hollow Speedway will return to action on Sunday, August 31st for the Labor Day Shootout featuring $1000 To Win for CRUSA Street Stocks, $750 To Win For Mini Stocks, plus Crate Late Models, Rusty Bolts, Crown Vic Ovals, Economies and Bombers. The event will also feature the 2nd visit of the season for the American Sprint Car Tour.
