The Daviess County Sheriff’s Office says that beginning this fall, Daviess County residents will be able to pay their county property and tangible tax bills online by going to the Daviess County Sheriff’s Office website, www.dcsoky.gov. The addition of online tax bill payments comes after a year of research and planning. Captain Alex Coomes, the DCSO Tax Division Commander, began working on this project as soon as the 2023 tax season ended by meeting with various software vendors and peer Sheriff’s Offices that were already offering online collection. As part of the preparations, DCSO changed their tax collection computer program from Tax Master to Government Utilities Technology Service.
Beginning in early November 2024, tax bills will be available to view and pay online, at DCSOKY.gov. Customers can pay by card or electronic check (processing fee may apply). Paper
bills will still be mailed the first week of November to every customer and will include a QR code on the bill to assist taxpayers should they choose to use the new online option. When a customer goes to the DCSO website there will be a place on the homepage to click on to pay taxes. That page will redirect the customer to a page operated by GUTS where they can look up and pay their bill.
