Governor Andy Beshear is giving an update on the ongoing manhunt for Joseph Couch. The suspect is accused of opening fire on vehicles on I-75 in Laurel County earlier this month, injuring five people. The governor joined law enforcement Tuesday on the eleventh day of the search. Beshear said they are “adjusting the deployment of resources into the community” and want to give residents a sense of normalcy. Security at school and neighborhood patrols will increase. Officers have been worn thin by long searches in rough terrain. The search will continue and the investigation remains ongoing.
