In an early morning operation Friday on I-69 near Madisonville, two Evansville residents were apprehended for allegedly trafficking over five pounds of marijuana. Authorities conducted a traffic stop after noticing a vehicle speeding and erratically swerving. The driver, identified as 41-year-old Luis Hull, along with passenger 37-year-old Jamie Stuteville, reportedly displayed signs of nervousness, prompting a police K9 unit to investigate. The search led to the discovery of significant quantities of marijuana wax, seeds, edibles, vapes, a grow light, an undisclosed amount of cash, pills, and suspected narcotics yet to be tested.
