The Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program is now taking applications for help with energy bills. Eligible applicants can receive a one-time benefit for up to $200 between now and the end of May while funds are available. An electric bill, social security card, proof of income and proof of U.S. citizenship are needed for the application. Information on how individuals or families can apply is available on the Office of Community Services website.
