The Daviess County Clerk’s office (along with all other county auto departments in the Commonwealth) went through a system upgrade in late December/early January 2024.
With that, there have been several issues and ‘bugs’ to work out.
In an effort to keep you informed, the Daviess County Clerk’s office has posted updates.
According to the Daviess County Clerk’s Office Facebook page:
Update from the Daviess County Clerk’s Office Auto Department for the week of January 16, 2024:
The roll out of the new Kavis Auto system came with lots of “bugs” and some significant issues.
The Kavis Team in Frankfort is working around the clock to address these issues and push fixes to all the Clerks Offices across the State.
With the issues at hand our office is experiencing extremely long processing times for simple transactions for every customer. Some transactions fail at the time of checkout, and we are unable to finish it at all.
This is equally frustrating for staff and the customer.
We want nothing more than to get your business taken care of.
What to expect this week (January 16th-January 19th):
-LONG LINES-Some wait times can be 2 to 2 ½ hours.
-We may have to close the line in the afternoon to be able to process those customers who have been in line waiting and be able to close out that day’s business. Times will vary and be based on how long the line is but could be as early as 2:30-3:00.
-With the high volume of customers, we will be unable to process any phone renewals or look up what you owe over the phone until we return to normal business traffic. This could be weeks.
