(Owensboro, KY)- Automotive audio enthusiasts from all over the country have converged on Owensboro for the DB Drag Racing World Finals.
Owensboro is one of four host locations across the world hosting the event for car audio enthusiasts. Other locations involved in the world finals include Antioch California, Spruce Grove AB Canada, and Ljubljana Slovenia.
“It’s 4 separate events but all locations are competing against each other,” said event organizer, Celise Harris.
This is the 2nd year the event has been hosted in downtown Owensboro.
Competitors utilize 2 lanes to compete against each other in the main event hall of the Owensboro Convention Center and then the winners will compete with entries at the 3 other locations.
Those who are interested but have sensitive ears need not to worry. The competition utilizes equipment that is contained inside of the cars and nearly inaudible to those watching from inside, even though decibel ranges are over 130.
In addition to the world finals inside of the main exhibit hall of the Owensboro Convention Center, vendors also fill both the lobby and the event hall.
General admission for the event is $10 for a daily pass. For more information, visit the event website.
