(Owensboro, KY)- Windy Hollow Dragway was a busy place over the September 23rd weekend with events being held both during the day and night.
The Ford Memorial Race and Reunion converged on the track during the day on Friday and Saturday with competitors from as far as Pennsylvania, Michigan and Georgia making the trek to the tackle the 1/8 mile strip.
Despite the long haul for some competitors, it was Newburgh Indiana’s Brian Spears taking home the win in the Ford Memorial Super Pro division. In the Ford Memorial Pro division, it was Eastview Kentucky’s Diane Ratliff taking the win in her 1985 Thunderstruck Ford Thunderbird.
While some Ford drivers stuck around for Saturday night’s WDRA Summit Sportsman Drag Racing at Windy Hollow, it was mostly local drivers competing for the money and hardware in a “regular” night of racing.
