Kentucky needs more School Counselors

(Frankfort, KY) — Kentucky is facing a significant shortage of school counselors. There is supposed to be a ratio of one counselor to every 250 students in every state. Officials say almost half of Kentucky’s schools are not meeting that goal. There are over 100 schools across the commonwealth who do not have a single counselor, which concerns officials due to the rise in mental health struggles among America’s youth.
