Daviess County Animal Care & Control continues to see a large number of cats and kittens with 179 listed in the system, as of Wednesday. To help promote adoption and provide additional visibility for the cats, volunteers are coordinating an event at PetSmart in Owensboro. The Cat Adoption Event is Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Animal Care & Control is waiving adoption fees for adult cats. Kittens are $30 or 2 for $50. All animals have been spayed or neutered and microchipped with age appropriate vaccines.
