129th KY Derby Winner Dies

(Louisville, KY) — The horse that won the 2003 Kentucky Derby is dead. Funny Cide’s death was announced yesterday on Facebook, with the post saying it was because of gut issues. He won the 129th Kentucky Derby and Preakness Stakes and was 23 years old. Funny Cide enjoyed 15 years of retirement, spending time at Kentucky Horse Park where he met with visiting fans.
