An Owensboro man was arrested Monday for sexual abuse violations. According to the Owensboro Police Department, at around 7:59am, officers responded to a Suspicious Person in the area of East 5th Street and Clay Street. Officers spoke with the victim, who advised a male subject chased her down, attempted to grab her cell phone, and touched her inappropriately before leaving the area. During the investigation, officers located the suspect in the 700 Block of Bolivar Street.
The suspect was identified as 34-year-old Francisco Gaspar, and he was transported back to the Owensboro Police Department. Officers and Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division were able to determine Gaspar was a suspect in a similar incident that occurred in the same area previously. Gaspar was interviewed and subsequently arrested and charged with:
– Sexual Abuse 1st Degree (2 Counts)
