An accused arsonist is pleading not guilty to the charges against him, even though firefighters say he admitted to burning down an old business in Evansville. Charles Perrin was in court on Wednesday and and entered a not guilty plea. He’s charges with arson and criminal mischief for setting fire to Old Pearl Cleaners, which was a business that has been operating in Evansville for more than a century. Firefighters say Perrin told them he set the place on fire saying that he got an adrenaline rush from and that he came back to “admire his work.” He’ll be back in court in June.
