A national ceremony to honor fallen firefighters will celebrate the sacrifice made by four Kentuckians. Fire Chief Jerry Ferrell of the Monticello Fire Department, Battalion Chief Johnnie Jacobs of Georgetown and Louisville firefighters Sean McAdam and John Martin will be remembered on Saturday evening at a candlelight service and on Sunday morning at a memorial service. The services will be held at the Fallen Firefighters Memorial in Emmitsburg, Maryland. The tribute will honor the four Kentuckians and 140 other firefighters who have died in the line of duty.
