DO Inc and the Owensboro Food and Beverage Coalition have teamed up for the Sugar High Challenge this week in Owensboro. This is the team’s second food-themed week after a successful Mac and Cheese Throwdown in February.
The focus for this week is Milkshakes and Donuts. Participants include: Lure Seafood and Grille, Lure Smoke Shack, Gramp’s Donuts, Niko’s Bakery, Sassafrass, Molly’s Mixins, Brew Bridge, Trunnell’s Market, Trunnell’s Deli, Reid’s Orchard, The Creme, Windy Hollow Biscuit House, Rolling Pin, Koehler’s, Ritzy’s, Wonder Whip and Big Dipper.

I got the chance to try the Windy Hollow Biscuit House Entry on Friday and it was delicious. Rooster, Hallie and crew have came up with a french toast donut with maple glaze, candied bacon and whip cream. It was sooo good!
