OWENSBORO, KY (April 8, 2023): Windy Hollow Dragway kicked off their 65th season on Friday, April 7th with the first “Friday Night Fun” of the season. The track welcomed street cars, trucks, motorcycles, and the Outlaw Gasser Association for a night of test and tune and for many, their first passes at the track. The track also offered their first Friday Night Trophy Class where Chris Neidige from Edwardsport, Indiana took home the win.

On Saturday, sunny skies and a fast track welcomed competitors from as far as Ohio to compete in the inaugural Outlaw Gasser Association event at the track. A wide variety of cars from a 1929 Anglia to a 1965 Nova competed for the historic first win of the organization and inaugural win trophy. At the conclusion it was Indiana’s Mark Garrett taking home the trophy and title as Outlaw Gasser Association Winner at Windy Hollow Dragway.

Saturday’s events also included a Test and Tune event as well as a Trophy and Gambler Race. Kygun Fulkerson of Utica went to Rough River Metal Works Victory Lane in the Gambler Race taking home a cash purse “donated” by his fellow competitors. Marion, Kentucky’s Tim Samuel took home the win in the Trophy race.

Windy Hollow Dragway returns to action this week with three days of competition for the Mid-America Bracket Nationals. The weekend kicks off with “Windy Wednesday,” a mid-week test and tune for anyone wanting to make some passes down the track. Competition for the event kicks off on Friday Afternoon.

Windy Hollow Dragway is a World Drag Racing (WDRA) sanctioned track located in western Daviess County. The track is 1/8 mile in length and has been operational since 1958.
