Owensboro Parks & Recreation says public voting will be open this week through March 18th for Dugan’s Got Talent, sponsored by Independence Bank. Contestants and their auditions can be seen on the Owensboro Parks website. Ten contestants are moving forward to the public voting portion of Dugan’s Got Talent. They are Paulie Frashure, Madeline Payne, and Ava Schimp from Apollo High School; Jo Jarboe from Daviess County High School; Abigail Oakes from Glory and Grace Academy; Abby Burns and Matthew Boarman from Owensboro Catholic High School; Spencer Combs and Matthew Smith from Owensboro High School; and Kaylee Nichols who is home schooled.
Dugan’s Got Talent will take place Friday, April 14 at Dugan Best Recreation Center beginning at 6:00 p.m. All 10 contestants will perform. Following their performances, and guest performances by other local talent the four finalist will be announced. Our first place contestant will take home a $4,000 scholarship. Second place will receive a $500 scholarship. Third and Fourth place receive a $250 scholarship.
Admission tickets will go on sale for Dugan’s Got Talent beginning Thursday, March 16. Tickets will be $10 and can be purchased at Dugan Best Recreation Center, Owensboro Parks and Recreation Administrative Center located at 1530 McJohnsosn Avenue and online at owensboroparks.org.
