Attorney General Daniel Cameron announced Thursday that an investigation by his Medicaid Fraud Unit led to the indictment of 34-year-old Jacqueline Basham of Centertown, for defrauding the Medicaid program. On February 20th, an Ohio County Grand Jury indicted Basham on one count of Devising or Engaging in a Scheme to Defraud the Kentucky Medical Assistance Program over $1,000 or more and one count of Theft by Deception over $10,000. According to the indictment, from 2017 to 2021, Basham provided false information to fraudulently obtain payment from the Kentucky Medical Assistance Program.
