A motorcycle rider was killed Tuesday evening in an accident in Hardin County. Kentucky State Police Post 4 got a call around 7:15pm Eastern from Fort Knox Dispatch requesting assistance with a collision near the intersection of Bullion Blvd and Innovation Way. 63-year-old Jeffrey Barnes of Vine Grove was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on Bullion Blvd when for unknown reasons, he entered into the median before striking a concrete drainage ditch causing Barnes to be ejected from the motorcycle. The Hardin County Coroner’s Office pronounced Barnes deceased at the scene. KSP Post 4 was assisted at the scene by the Hardin County Sheriff’s Office, Hardin County EMS, and the Hardin County Coroner’s Office.
