According to National Weather Service (Paducah), the lowest Friday (February 10, 2023) overnight wind chill be right at 15ºF (White Flag criteria is 15ºF overnight air temperature and/or wind chill). No other nights are forecasted to meet White Flag criteria at this time.
A White Flag event signals the opening of an overnight emergency shelter that will be open to all men, women, and children.

o Friday: on WHITE FLAG nights, Owensboro Transit System will provide free bus transportation to Daniel Pitino shelter between the hours of 4-6 pm. **Inform the bus driver you are going to the White Flag shelter. **
o Self Transportation: Those seeking shelter on White Flag nights may transport themselves to Daniel Pitino Shelter between 6:00 P.M. and 7:00 A.M.
