Kentucky is fairing poorly in a nationwide credit score study. Financial website WalletHub put out a study on the highest and lowest credit scores around the country based on the average scores of residents of each state. Kentucky came in 42nd place with an average score of 678. The state with the worst average score was Mississippi at 672, and the best was Minnesota at 724.
