(Frankfort, KY) — Another Republican is blaming Mitch McConnell. Texas Senator Ted Cruz yesterday said on his podcast McConnell is more interested in his own ambition than the GOP’s success following the party’s disappointing performance in the midterms. Cruz said the Kentucky senator “would rather be leader than have a Republican majority.” He is one of several figures in the Republican Party to target McConnell following last week’s results in elections across the country. Cruz’s comments come after former President Donald Trump pointed the finger at McConnell on Sunday for his spending choices during midterm campaigns.
