An Indiana teacher faces charges for allegedly crossing state lines to engage in sexual conduct with a minor in Owensboro. Twenty-seven-year-old Evansville high school teacher Cody McCormick was indicted by a federal grand jury yesterday. He is not listed on online staff directories but his public Twitter profile says he is a “social studies teacher.” Prosecutors say McCormick was traveling to Owensboro with the intent of engaging in sexual activity with a person he believed to be 15 years old. A conviction would land him at least ten years behind bars. Our Media Partner, 14 News, has more here.
