One person was airlited to the hospital after a crash Thursday afternoon in Webster County. According to Kentucky State Police, at around 3pm, the KSP Madisonville post was called to a collision on US 41. Preliminary investigation indicated that a 2012 Toyota passenger car operated by 17-year-old Sydney McCord of Slaughters was traveling North on US 41. McCord attempted to make a left turn onto KY 138 and turned into the path of a 1997 Mazda pickup traveling South on US 41, being operated by 27-year-old Colton Parris of Hanson. The front of the Mazda pickup struck the Toyota passenger car in the passenger’s side causing the Toyota to be pushed into a 2019 Chevy passenger car that was stopped at the stop sign on KY 138, and being operated by 87-year-old Donald Tompkins, of Slaughters. A passenger in the Toyota, 78-year-old Dora Ruby of Slaughters, was flown to Deaconess Hospital in Evansville for her injuries.
