An initial hearing was held Monday for the man accused in the death of a 10-month old baby in Mount Vernon. In the hearing, Devin Morrison was read through the charges he faces and possible punishment for them. State Police say his daughter, Naiarii Kazcmarek, died of skull fractures and the coroner also found evidence of healing broken ribs that had been injured a few weeks prior to her death. Morrison was arrested last Thursday after the baby girl died a few days earlier. Morrison also asked the judge if he could attend his daughter’s funeral. The judge said no.
