HydroFair may not return to Owensboro. City officials are considering the event’s future after the low turnout at this year’s fair. The annual Air Show is still set to take place again in September 2023 but lawmakers are concerned about the strain having both events could have on the city. Officials believe it may not be worth the extra work for staff and police especially if the HydroFair does not bring in big crowds. Discussions about the future of the event are ongoing.
