The clerk’s office needs some good men and women to help with this year’s election. They need over 200 hundred poll workers and you will get paid 175 dollars for working the polls and training.
To work you must meet the following qualifications.
- You must be a qualified, registered voter. If you will be 18 years old on or before the General Election, you can serve as an election officer.
- You cannot serve if you are a candidate during the election year.
- You cannot serve if you are the spouse, parent, brother, sister, or child of a candidate who is on the ballot.
- You cannot change your party affiliation for one (1) year before you are appointed an election officer. However, if you are not registered to vote, you may register to vote before volunteering to serve as an election officer.
