Fans of fast boats have an event just for them on tap in Owensboro. The Owensboro HydroFair is this weekend on the riverfront. Sixty hydroplane teams will compete in different classes on the Ohio River Friday through Sunday. Some of the hydroplanes race at 170 miles per hour. The testing runs are Friday with qualifying races and championship races on Saturday and Sunday.
