Owensboro Lady Devils (6-11) won 3 of 4 – 15-2 over John Hardin(Ellie Embry doubled and drove in 3, Lindsey Gibson 3-4 RBI, Sophie Moorman-Paige Hughes-Emmi Connor all had 2RBI), 2-0 vs Webster(Moorman & Paige Hughes had RBI while Brooke Keller & Kirsten Tindle combined for a CG 2H) & Butler Co 6-4(8th grader Reese Boswell 2R HR & Brooke Keller CG win) – Addison Hill leads team with 388BA, Embry 16RBI – at Union tomorrow and host DC Thursday
9. Butler County Lady Bears (10-12) (2-2 last week) – opened the week with wins over Grayson 12-7(Parker Willoughby 4-5 double & 3 RBI, Isabella Akers and McKenzie Coleman 2RBI) & Russellville 3-2(Coleman 3-2 2 doubles, Willoughby and Mia Thomas each had RBI) but did also drop a game to Russellville and OHS on Saturday. Vs Edmsonon tomorrow & Trinity Thursday
8. Muhlenberg County Lady Mustangs (6-9) – have lost 3 straight vs Logan, Greenwood and Green but opened the week vs Edmonson (Josie Davis 2-3 w/double and RBI) – at Ohio County tomorrow and Franklin Simpson later this week.
7. Whitesville Trinity Lady Raiders (8-6) (1-1 last week) – got a 5-1 win over OHS (Katherine Hibbitt 4-4 w/2 doubles & 3RBI, Cassidy 3-4 and RBI), they were upset by Edmonson on Wednesday. Away games at Hancock tonight, Grayson, Breck and Butler this week.
6. Meade County Lady Wave (7-9)(1-2 last week) – tough losses to Central Hardin 3-0, & 8-5 vs Asumption but bounced back with a district win over Breck 5-4(Autumn Rogers went 3-4, Madlyn Nevitt homered and Annabelle Knoop drove in 2) – host Hancock tomorrow and travel to Catholic on Thursday
5. Apollo E-Gals (8-8) (0-2 last week) – tough losses to Mater Dei and DC this past week. 8th grader Arianna Ramierez stood out vs DC getting the only hit and great work at 3rd base. Will look to bounce back starting tonight vs South Spencer. Webster, Jasper and Ohio Co this week.
4. Hancock County Lady Hornets (16-2) – knocked off Breck Co in their only game this week. Not 100% updated but Lily Roberts checks in at 4th in the state in K at 182. Host Trinity tonight, at Meade tomorrow and Perry Central later this week.
3. Owensboro Catholic Lady Aces (11-6) (1-1 last week) – 10-0 loss to DC but bounced back with an 8-0 win over OHS(Bailey Hamilton 3-4, Lilly Grant drove in 2 & Alexis Hatchet CG 9K) – Bailey Hamilton has upper her avg to 509 in 55AB on the season – GOW tomorrow at DC, Meade and then the ALL A this weekend at Fisher Park
2.Daviess County Lady Panthers (14-3) (5-0 last week) – district wins over Catholic and Apollo to start the week and then went to Woodford Co and def Woodford, Bullitt East and Male. vs Woodford (Jesse Daniels HR, Hattie Newman doubled and drove in 2), vs Bullitt East(8th grader Sophia Cain CG 2H w/8K, Daniels HR & drove in 2) & vs Male(Daniels and Millie homered, Vergason went 2-3 & Roby struck out 8) – GOW tomorrow Cath at DC & at OHS Thursday
1.Henderson County Lady Colonels (14-1) (3-1 last week) – first loss of the season vs Gibson Southern 3-2, wins over Caldwell, Tecumseh and Union. Hallie McCracken, Ann Willett, Taylor Troutman, Jamaya Byrum and Kaitlin Kemp are all batting over 400 with 39AB or more — Kelsie Hill & Anna Kemp combine for a 1.58 ERA w/108K in 84IP. Host Madisonville tonight, Memorial tomorrow with Webster and Great Crossing tourney later this week.
