Deputies with the Ohio County Sheriff’s Office are investigating an incident that happened Saturday that resulted in the death of a Rockport, Kentucky man. Deputies responded to a residence in Rockport after receiving a “shots fired” call. Deputies were advised that two individuals had been shot multiple times. When Deputies arrived, the two people were lying in a driveway with multiple gunshot wounds. EMS transported both victims to the hospital where one of the victims succumbed to his injuries. During the investigation it was determined that Aaron McQuady of Sebree traveled to Rockport during the late hours of Saturday night. McQuady then used multiple firearms to open fire upon the two victims and their homes. Matthew Wallace and Christopher Wallace of Rockport were struck by gunfire. Matthew Wallace of Rockport died after being shot multiple times by McQuady. There were multiple families and children present during the incident who could have fallen victim to the rapid gunfire. The entire incident was captured on surveillance cameras in the area. McQuady was located by Webster County Sheriff’s Office at his home in Sebree in the early morning hours on Sunday. McQuady was taken into custody and charged with the following:
Murder 1 st Degree
Assault, 1 st Degree (Enhanced)
Additional charges are expected.
