10. Whitesville Trinity Raiders (11-10): The Raiders put the 3rd region on notice with a 57-55 win over Ohio County, Tuesday night at the Sportscenter. Trinity also defeated Meade County (61-56) & Cloverport (79-54) before losing two district games to Butler County. Landon Huff leads the Trinity scoring attack with 14.8 points per game. Trinity is scheduled to host Edmonson County on Friday and take on St. Mary at the Sportscenter on Saturday.
9. Perry Central Commodores (9-7): The Commodores bounced back from a loss to Orleans with a big 52-25 win over Crawford County. Perry Central’s game against Mitchell was postponed, and their still scheduled to host South Spencer on Saturday.
8. Henderson County Colonels (13-9): It’s been a busy week and a half for the Colonels as they’ve beaten Daviess County (59-52), Webster County (33-29), and Apollo (71-49). The Colonels dropped games to Union County (64-56) and Lyon County (88-68). Gerard Thomas (16.4) and Cooper Davenport (10.8) lead the Colonels in scoring. Henderson County is scheduled to take on Muhlenberg County at the Sportscenter on Friday.
7. McLean County Cougars (13-8): The Cougars have split games against tough competition with a loss to district rival Muhlenberg County (53-37) & a win over Todd County Central (56-42). Jaxon Floyd (14.5) and Brady Dame (13.5) lead the Cougar offense. McLean County is scheduled to take on Hopkins County Central, Foundation Christian Academy, and Louisville Collegiate in the Ruoff Mortgage Classic at the Owensboro Sportscenter this weekend.
6. Butler County Bears (13-7): The Bears nearly pulled off the shocker of the year last week, narrowly losing to Muhlenberg County 54-53 in overtime. Butler County bounced back with 2 wins over Whitesville Trinity, before dropping a 60-52 decision to Franklin-Simpson. Butler County is scheduled to host Grayson County on Friday.
5. Owensboro Catholic Aces (11-10): Catholic picked up a hard fought 52-50 win over Christian County last week before dropping a 64-51 decision to Pikeville in the first round of the Kentucky All A Championship. Ji Webb (18.2), Brian Griffith (17.0), and Parker Gray (15.2) lead a 3 headed attack for the Aces. Catholic is scheduled to take on Daviess County on Friday before heading to play in the Wes Strader Schoolboy Classic against Collins at Warren Central.
4. Ohio County Eagles (14-6): Ohio County is once again without the services of star Elijah Decker due to injury, but Decker is expected to return before district tournament play. Ohio County defeated Hancock County 63-56 the lost back to back games to Calloway County (82-65) and Whitesville Trinity (57-55). The Eagles are scheduled to travel to Harned to take on Breckinridge County on Friday.

Owensboro Red Devils (16-5): OHS is rolling along with 4 consecutive wins, and victories in the past week in a half over Madisionville (63-58), Daviess County (79-47), and Breckinridge County (78-39). OHS also boasts a 3rd region best RPI ranking with .60193, which is good for 51st overall in the state. Amari Robinson-Wales (19.8) and Kenyata Carbon (19.2) lead a potent 1-2 punch for OHS. OHS is scheduled to take on Apollo on Friday.
2. Muhlenberg County Mustangs (12-7): The Mustangs continue to show why they’re the favorites in the 3rd region with 7 consecutive victories. Muhlenberg County has ran through 3rd region competition with wins over Butler County (54-53), McLean County (53-37), Breckinridge County (53-37), & Daviess County (64-45). Cole Vincent and Trey Lovell are averaging 11.7 points per game to lead the Mustangs offense. Muhlenberg County is scheduled to take on Henderson County at the Sportscenter on Friday.
1. South Spencer Rebels (12-2): The Rebels picked up two wins over Pike Central (62-47) and most importantly, over their rival Heritage Hills (55-47). Holton Compton scored 16 and Cale Donohoo added 10 in the win over the Patriots. South Spencer is scheduled to take on Perry Central in Leopold on Friday.
