MIILEY CYRUS HEADLINES LOLLAPALOOZA WITH SPECIAL GUESTS: Miley Cyrus headlined Lollapalooza 2021 with a 90-minute set that include tracks off her latest album Plastic Hearts as well as classic hits and covers “Say Hello To Heaven” and her mashup including “Wrecking Ball” into “Nothing Compares to You.” The singer also brought out an array of guests including Billy Idol, The Kid LAROI, Juicy J, Wiz Khalifa, Chicago’s very own G Herbo and the Chicago Bull’s mascot: Benny the Bull.
ARIANA GRANDE TO HEALIINE FORTNITE'S RIFT TOUR: Pitchfork reports that Ariana Grande will headline Fortnite’s Rift tour which will take place August 6th through 8th in the game. Grande isn’t the first musician to perform inside a video game. Travis Scott hosted a Fortnite party, debuting his collab with Kid Cudi in the game.
BILLIE EILISH DROPS SOPHOMORE ALBUM: Billie Eilish dropped her sophomore album on Friday (July 30th). Accompanying the release of Happier Than Ever, is the debut of the title track and its video, directed by Eilish herself. Listening to the Bad Guy singer’s latest effort may help you to expand your vocabulary. A recent study from WordTips found that her songs use more unique words than any other artist. The 19-year-old star uses, on average 169 unique words out of 1,000.
