As COVID-19 cases rise, Daviess County has returned to the red zone as the virus continues to spread. Daviess County is reporting an average of 25.6 positive cases per 100,000 residents at a positivity rate of 15.9%. Out of the 11,278 total cases reported in the county, there have been 196 deaths.
Kentucky has a COVID-19 positivity rate of 6.97% and a total of 7,312 deaths.
Daviess County Judge Executive Al Mattingly, City of Owensboro Mayor Tom Watson, Clay Horton, Director of the Green River District Health Department and the Chief Medical Officer for Owensboro Health, Dr. Francis DuFrayne, will address the city and county at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 27th.
