The Hancock County Lady Hornets take on the Breckinridge County Lady Tigers in the 11th District Tournament on 94.7 WBIO courtesy of ATTC Manufacturing.
The Breckinridge County Lady Tigers fought off a game Hancock County team to advance to the 11th District Tournament championship game against Meade County on Thursday. Breck also improves to a region best 20-3 on the season. The Lady Tigers were led in scoring by Sydney Tucker (16). Isabel Grimes and Aleigha Mucker both scored 15 to help Breck move on to the district championship.
Hancock County finishes the season with a 7-10 record. Karmin Riley and Bailey Poole each scored 13 points to lead the Lady Hornets. Hancock County will return almost their entire roster next season, and will figure to be one of the top teams throughout the 3rd region for the 2021-22 basketball season.
