The Owensboro Catholic Aces host the Owensboro Red Devils in the ATTC Manufacturing game of the week. Vic Evans and Stephen A Turner have the call live from the Owensboro Sportscenter!
The Owensboro Red Devils were led in scoring by sophomore Kenyatta Carbon with with 27 points. Amari Robinson-Wales added 18 with Jeremiah Goodwin scoring 18 in the paint. The Red Devils improve to 9-5 on the season and secured the #1 seed in the upcoming 9th district tournament. OHS will take on Apollo at 7pm Monday at the Owensboro Sportscenter in the 9th district 1st round and we’ll have the call LIVE on 92.9 WVJS.
Owensboro Catholic slipped to 15-7 on the season, but got a breakout performance from junior Sam McFarland who scored 17 points for the Aces. Junior guard Brian Griffith scored 11 points but went down with an apparent knee injury midway through the 3rd quarter. Aces junior post star Ji Webb added 10 points, but also suffered a leg injury midway through the 3rd quarter. Owensboro Catholic is scheduled to play Meade County on March 11th at the Owensboro Sportscenter. The Aces will open 9th district play against Daviess County on March 16th at 7pm, which will be LIVE on 92.9 WVJS.
